Myotact
Myotact developed a medical device that detecting muscle activity (EMG) for translating it into virtual movements with sensory vibration feedback.
Problem
Worldwide, more than 65 million amputees suffer from phantom limb pain and for upper limb amputees, almost 60% give up on the use of a myoelectric prosthesis because the learning process is long and complex. Rehabilitation does not only affect amputees but also more than 10 million people each year suffering from limb hemiplegia post-stroke.
Solution
The Myotact bracelet is equipped with 8 electromyographic muscle sensors and 8 vibrators allowing a biofeedback by vibration coupled with an application allowing a sensory and visual rehabilitation.
