Myotact
Myotact has developed a medical device which allows the acquisition of muscle activity (EMG) coupled with vibro-tactile feedback while translating this activity into virtual movements.
Problem
Worldwide, more than 65 million amputees suffer from phantom limb pain. No treatment is unanimously accepted and only 7% of treated patients experience a real beneficial effect in relieving this pain. There are no medical devices to relieve this pain at home.
Solution
The Myotact bracelet is equipped with 8 electromyographic muscle sensors and 8 vibrators allowing a biofeedback by vibration coupled with an application allowing a sensory and visual rehabilitation.
